How Did They Print That?

Reverse Engineering Sample Print Products

Understanding the capabilities and limitations of the manufacturing process is vital to creating a successful design.

There are many processes and technologies available today to produce your printed product, and each one has its own strengths and weaknesses.  Choosing the right way to print and finish your product can make all the difference in achieving that look that you are going for.  Translating your client’s description of their desired product into a working design is difficult enough, but deciding how to actually produce your design and then tweaking that design to take advantage of a specific printing or finishing process requires firsthand knowledge of the entire gamut of equipment options.  Even when you have been provided with a sample to emulate, it’s not always obvious how it was produced.  We are here to help point you in the right direction when you are asking that question – how did they print that?
